Clash of the Choirs: Free State eliminated─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 12:57 Mon, 30 Oct 2023
“Team Zaza joined the Western Cape and North West teams that were eliminated earlier in the competition.”
Another Central South African team’s journey came to an end in the Clash of the Choir competition this past weekend.
The Free State choir missed out on the R1 million and a recording deal after not convincing judges with their performance on Sunday (29/10) evening. The Free State team, led by the Gospel queen Zaza Mokheti, sang a rendition of Master KG’s ‘Skeleton Move’. The performance didn’t convince the judges and they decided to dim the light for a team who also had ambitions of winning the competition.
Team Zaza joined the Western Cape and North West teams that were eliminated earlier in the competition. The Northern Cape now is the only team representing Central SA and will go head to head with KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, the Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga in the coming weeks.
Free State supporters have sent messages of encouragement to their team which left a befitting impression and won the hearts of many people.
