Opposition parties in the cash-strapped Mangaung Metro Municipality in the Free State, react to the municipality being placed under administration, with many indicating their support for the move.
The municipality, which was downgraded by Moody’s Investors Services back in August, has now been placed under administration following Finance Deputy Minister, David Masondo’s letter to Premier Sisi Ntombela expressing his concerns over the municipality’s financial state and failure to provide basic services.
