Puppeteer Sarah Sease joins Yolanda Maartens in the OFM Art Beat to talk about “Papadi Park” and her passion for storytelling.
Sarah believes using puppetry to tell stories with music, to enhance teaching and learning at Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres across the city, assists in the early developmental skills of toddlers.

Storytelling has been part of her life from an early age. This inspired her to start her own storytelling business Papadi Park meaning Playful Park. Born and raised in Thaba Nchu in the Free State, Sarah is a force to be reckoned with. Her passion and love for children can be seen right throughout her puppet shows.
“I grew up under the loving care of my parents and grandparents, so my business head was inspired by my paternal grandparents, and my love and care for children comes from my maternal grandparents.”
