Celebrity doctor opens case against Magudumana, Bester | News Article

Celebrity doctor Mmereka Ntshani, popularly known as Dr Pashy, has opened a case against the convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester and his girlfriend Dr Nandipha Magudumana.

Bester and Nandipha were found with several passports when they were arrested in Tanzania earlier this month.

A Mozambican man Zacharia Alberto was also nabbed with the duo near the border between Tanzania and Kenya.

Magudumana was found with two of Ntshani's passports, one of which had been reported missing, prompting the issuing of the second document.

Ntshani has since opened a fraud case against the couple at the Sandton police station.

She confirmed that Magudumana was one of the guest speakers at the organisation seminar in 2020.

Jacaranda FM reports that she, however, says that at the time of the event, the organisation was not aware of the allegations that have been reported on in the media.

Bester escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in May 2022 after faking his death by setting his cell alight.

Portfolio committee wants answers on escape

The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services recently heard how Bester was moved to cell 35, despite it not being approved, from where he escaped. The cell is in a blind spot and is near an emergency exit.
