“Alex de Minaur is one of the quickest, if not the quickest player on Tour. But I'm still enjoying my running at 37. Looking forward to the match.”

The 4th seeded Alexander Zverev has been knocked out of Wimbledon in the fourth round.

The reigning Olympic champion got eliminated after losing 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 and 6-3 to the 12th seeded Taylor Fritz of the USA.

The seven-time champion, Novak Djokovic, in turn remains on course for a 25th Grand Slam title after beating the 15th seeded Holgar Rune of Denmark 6-3, 6-4 and 6-2.

Djokovic who is into his 60th Grand Slam quarter-final said Rune is never the easiest opponent.

“I’m very pleased, but I don’t think Holger played close to his best,” said the 37-year-old from Serbia.

“Tough start for him. That got to him mentally. Waiting all day to come out on court is never easy, getting more and more tense and stressed.

“Alex de Minaur is one of the quickest, if not the quickest player on Tour. But I'm still enjoying my running at 37. Looking forward to the match.”

Meanwhile, Alex De Minaur of Australia beat Arthur Fils of France in four-sets, while Lorenzo Musetti of Italy beat Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard of France in four sets to reach the quarter-finals.
