The Proteas have been dealt a major blow for the remainder of their One-Day International series against Ireland in Dubai.
The left-arm seam bowler from Western Province, Nandré Burger, has been ruled out of the two remaining games, as well as the upcoming Test tour to Bangladesh.
The fast bowler has been ruled out due to a lumbar stress reaction ahead of the 2nd One-Day International.
In addition, the opening batter, Tony de Zorzi, who also plays for Western Province, has been ruled out of the second game. On Wednesday picked up an injury and he has undergone MRI scans.

The scans revealed a soft tissue injury of his right knee and as a precautionary measure, he will be rested on Friday.
Cricket South Africa confirmed that Burger is out and a replacement is yet to be named in his place for the tour to Bangladesh.

On Friday at 13:30 the Proteas will face Ireland in the second ODI which will also be played in Abu Dhabi.
