To assist teachers and recent teaching graduates, the SA Council for Educators has embarked on a Northern Cape tour to help them register.

Educators in smaller towns will get an opportunity to voice their concerns with the council while being allowed to register, update, renew, or get reprints of their SACE qualifications.

“The purpose of the drive is to provide an opportunity for educators to access SACE services, and also to be able to be assisted on the different types of SACE registrations,” said communications manager, Risuna Nkuna.

The tour started on Tuesday (15/10) at the ZF Mgcawu District Office in Upington, and will end on Friday (25/10) at De Aar Primary School. It will make stops in Kuruman, Kimberley, and Springbok from 08:00 to 16:00 for registrations and assistance.

The first session was attended by more than 100 teachers who needed help, said Nkuna. The police were part of this event to certify documents required for registration.

Teachers are also given the option to register online in their own time, however, they are encouraged to visit the venue if they are in the area to clarify any information.

The four upcoming events are:

  • Thursday: Kuruman.
  • Friday: Kimberley.
  • Wednesday: Springbok
  • Friday: De Aar
