“The motive of the incident is yet to be determined and investigations are underway.”
North West police are searching for a murder suspect after a woman and her mother were found with stab wounds.
The younger woman (37) allegedly got out of bed on Sunday morning (14/1) to let her boyfriend in when he attacked and stabbed her several times with a knife without being provoked. He then went into the room of the girlfriend’s mother (73) and stabbed her multiple times before fleeing on foot.
“The older woman was certified dead on the scene while her daughter who leaves behind a five-month-old baby, succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Rustenburg,” said North West police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone.

Police searched for him at his home without success, and no arrests have been made yet.”
The double murder was condemned by Provincial Commissioner Sello Kwena who instructed the investigation team to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to book.
“The police request anyone who may have information that can assist in the investigation including the arrest of the suspect, to contact the nearest police station.”
