North West hospital implements restrictions to limit #Covid19 cases─── 11:14 Sun, 12 Jun 2022
Visiting hours have been shortened to just one hour twice a day at the Klerksdorp/Tshepong Hospital Complex in North West.
The hospital's management made the decision to implement restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
This comes after an increase in Covid-19 cases has been reported in the City of Matlosana municipal area.
The hospital's public relations officer, Tefo Tladi, said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of people and added that there is no need to panic.
He said only one person will be allowed per visit and that visitors will be screened.
In May, the hospital indicated that a total of 41 Covid-19 positive patients were admitted and more than 20 were put on oxygen.
Tladi said visitors who have symptoms of the virus will not be allowed in for visitation.
