Cause of UFS fire unknown─── 09:13 Fri, 24 Jan 2020
The exact cause of a fire at the President Steyn residence at the University of the Free State’s Bloemfontein campus is still unknown.
The police spokesperson Motantsi Makhele has told OFM News there is no new information about how the fire started on Thursday 23 January 2020.
No injuries were reported according to a statement by the university and the area was declared safe by the Mangaung Fire Department. Investigations are currently on-going and the police are waiting for further information on the matter.
