The Bloemfontein-based Premier Soccer League team, Marumo Gallants, will be scrambling to find a new head coach just weeks before the start of the season.
OFM Sport has it on good authority that the club and its head coach, Dylan Kerr, have parted ways. Kerr, who was just weeks into a second spell as the clubs head coach, resigned from his position on Tuesday (30/7).
This comes after a meeting on Monday in which the Maltese-born English coach was left unhappy with certain developments within the team ahead of the season. This concerns the technical team, as well as the playing squad for the upcoming season.

Gallants inherited several Moroka Swallows players after buying the PSL status from the latter club. In addition, Gallants players who competed in the NFD last season were also retrained.
The surprising resignation of Kerr comes just 28 days after he was reappointed by the club and arrived back in South Africa to take up the role.
Meanwhile, Gallants will officially launch their 2024/25 season in Bloemfontein on Thursday. It’s expected that the club will be unveiling their new kit, and it is believed it’ll be green and white to pay homage to Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Premier Soccer League is yet to announce the fixtures for the 2024/25 which will kick-off a few weeks later than normal.
