Manchester United and Ten Hag part ways─── MORGAN PIEK 14:08 Mon, 28 Oct 2024
The English giants, Manchester United, and their manager, Erik ten Hag, have parted ways.
This comes less than 24 hours after United lost 2-1 to West Ham in the English Premiership thanks to a conversional late penalty in London.
The English club confirmed on Monday afternoon that the Dutch manager has stepped down from the role of manager. The former Dutch international and United striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, will take over as interim coach, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited.
The club released a short statement on Monday confirming the departure of the manager who won two titles during his short tenure.

“Erik ten Hag has left his role as Manchester United men’s first-team manager. He was appointed in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
“We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future. Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited.”
United are currently 14th on the Premiership log after nine rounds. On Sunday, the Red Devils will face Chelsea at Old Trafford.
