Woolworths recalls chicken viennas sold in South Africa, Botswana─── 06:53 Sat, 20 May 2023
Woolworths is recalling its Smoked Chicken Viennas, Cocktail Chicken Viennas and Halaal Smoked Chicken Viennas that expire on 27 May 2023.
This follows information that the viennas may have been cross-contaminated with dairy traces.
"While the cheese may not be obvious through taste or visible in the product, we are removing all the products from our shelves. Customers who have an allergy to cow’s milk may experience an adverse reaction to trace amounts of milk protein," says the retailer.
The affected products are sold in South Africa and Botswana, and customers who purchased them are urged to return them to their local Woolworths stores for a refund.
