A spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Luxolo Tyali, confirmed that Terblanche appeared in the St Albans court on six charges that include conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to defeat the ends of justice, and conspiracy to commit an act of corruption.

The case was remanded to Friday 7 October.

These shocking allegations came to light on the day that he was given a lifeline by the High Court in Gqeberha for his third attempt at bail.

It has been nearly a year since Arnold's estranged wife and mother to his son was found in a shallow grave in Greenbushes, in a story that shocked the city to its core.

Terblanche is now accused of paying someone hundreds of thousands of Rand to get rid of his co-accused - Reinhardt Leach and Dyllan Cullis.

A source who spoke to Algoa FM News on condition of anonymity, said Terblanche has been planning their demise for quite some time.

Cullis has since indicated that he will turn State Witness while Leach has long abandoned his bid for bail.

Last month, serious allegations came to light implicating senior officials from the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) granting special privileges to Terblanche from supplying him with a cellphone to allowing contact visits which are not allowed.

On Tuesday, Arnold was hoping to find out in the city's High Court if he would be released on bail - in what was his third attempt at freedom.

And while the High Court stopped short of granting him bail - it ruled that his bid for bail based on new facts must be heard in the Local Magistrate's Court.

The High Court also ruled that this must happen within the next seven days.

The latest matter against Terblanche has been postponed to Friday and will no doubt have serious implications on his latest bid for bail.
