Vereeniging taxi drivers to appear in court following protest─── 13:42 Fri, 22 Mar 2019
More than 50 taxi drivers are due to appear in the Vereeniging magistrate's court on Friday.
They were arrested for public violence during a protest on Wednesday after clashing with police.
The taxi drivers in the Vaal were protesting about an incomplete taxi rank which they say they were promised five years ago.
They blocked all the major routes into and out of Vereeniging, using their vehicles, burning tyres and rocks.
