Van Rooyen to play in Griquas swansong─── MORGAN PIEK 08:22 Tue, 01 Feb 2022

The Tafel Lager Griquas hooker, Alandré van Rooyen, will be running out for the team for the last time on Wednesday afternoon when they tackle the Pumas in round three of the Currie Cup.
Van Rooyen has signed a contract with the English club, London Irish, and will be linking up with the team shortly.
Van Rooyen will start in the unchanged pack as the Griquas target a first win of the season.
Van Rooyen told OFM Sport that playing against the Pumas is extra special.
“Every game for the Griquas is special, but playing against the Pumas feels like playing in an interschools back in the day.
“It's always a tough game. No matter how good your season has been, the game is always close between the Pumas and Griquas.
“We're not expecting anything less, but it would be lovely to end it on a high note.”
