Kovsies determined to showcase their best netball─── MORGAN PIEK 14:19 Tue, 20 Sep 2022
The University of the Free State Kovsies will be focusing on the positives ahead of this weekend’s Varsity Netball action in Potchefstroom, while they do believe that their is room for improvement.
On Monday the defending champions were stunned for a second time when they lost 54-43 to UJ in Pretoria.
On Sunday Kovsies were beaten 57-53 by Maties during round two.
This sees Kovsies in fifth on the log with just 7 points.
The captain of Kovsies, Ané Retief, told OFM Sport that they now know how to adjust their game.
“We have been shown now where we lack a little bit and where we can improve, said the skipper.
“We can really put up a change in our performance and deliver quality netball for the spectators and our opponents.
“It's a tight competition and there really tough teams to face out there.
“We are really looking forward to going out there and showcasing our best netball.”
On Sunday at 13:00 Kovsies will face the Madibaz at the NWU Amphitheatre in round four.
