Johannesburg - Gauteng community safety MEC, Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, says the blame for the recent attacks on foreign nationals in the province must be laid at the feet of Johannesburg mayor, Herman Mashaba.
Mashaba has in the past hit out at illegal immigrants, saying they should be treated as criminals.
More than 150 people have been arrested for the violence against migrants in Gauteng during the past few weeks.
Malobane says Mashaba should take full responsibility.
