Ntombela grateful to Free State residents─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 11:52 Wed, 18 May 2022
Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela has expressed her gratitude for the love and solidarity shown by residents after the donation of various items to flood-stricken KwaZulu-Natal.
This was after her visit to KZN with other members of EXCO on Tuesday. Ntombela and her MECs handed over trucks filled with various essentials such as food packages, blankets, and clothes that were donated by Free State Residents.

The former Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) MEC and current IPC spokesperson, Oupa Khoabane, had previously said that the ANC, along with others, established food banks to mobilise solidarity work in support of the victims of the floods.
In a statement, Ntombela lauded residents of Free State for their selfless acts of generosity and compassion towards their sister province. She also expressed her heartfelt condolences to those who lost their loved ones.

OFM News previously reported that the premier of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), Sihle Zikalala, had sent a token of appreciation to the Free State government, together with its search and rescue team. This after the search and rescue team was deployed from the Free State to assist in recovering over 400 bodies, following devastating floods in KZN, which also left many injured and homeless.
