State funeral requested for #Griqua regent─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 11:48 Thu, 10 Mar 2022
The late regent of the Griqua tribe, Captain Johannes Kraalshoek, is expected to receive a state funeral.
The chairperson of the Griqua Council, Frans Kraalshoek, told OFM News that the council will meet and write a letter to the office of the Presidency, to request a state funeral for him.

OFM News previously reported that Captain Kraalshoek (89) passed away at the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein on Wednesday. This after it was reported that he has been in and out of the hospital for the past three months.

The Chairperson of the Council said that the deceased will be buried at Bethany Farm alongside his wife, however, the family will meet to discuss further arrangements of the memorial service and funeral.
The chairperson of the council expressed his gratitude to the Griqua community and the medical staff who looked after Johannes Kraalshoek.
