Suspected murderer of EMS chief arrested─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 16:08 Wed, 27 Oct 2021
The suspected murderer of the Free State Emergency Medical Services’ (EMS) chief has been arrested by the Serious Organised Crime Investigation team (Hawks) together with Crime Intelligence.
On 14 April, the deceased’s body was discovered lying on the side of the R76 Lindley Road in Bohlokong, with several gunshot wounds to his head. According to the Free State Hawks’ spokesperson, Christopher Singo, after the arrest of Makhosazana Falicity Mfuphi and Sinethemba Klaas, who were charged with the murder of Itumeleng Tladi, who was a police officer, it was discovered that they were also involved in the murder of the EMS chief, Nicholas Khoele.
Singo says the Hawks team, after interviewing Mfuphi, she confessed to the police that she paid the other accused an amount of R30 000 to kill the EMS chief. The accused is expected to appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
