A 34-year-old police officer, Noxolo Job, will continue with her formal bail application in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court in the Free State on Wednesday.
Job stand accused of accepting R30 000 as a bribe for stolen VIP protection unit firearms, and attempting to sell them to allegedly settle her debts.
She was arrested on Tuesday 8 October, when she was busted by the Hawks and Crime Intelligence during a joint operation.
Hawks spokesperson, Lynda Steyn, previously told OFM News that information emerged that Job allegedly conspired to steal firearms from her unit.
Steyn further said an operation was activated immediately where the accused met up with "robbers" and handed them her state firearm to commit a robbery.
On 10 October she made a brief court appearance before Magistrate Ryan Ishmail.
Job was allegedly paid R30 000 for her efforts which, on receipt, led to her downfall. All the stolen firearms were seized including her pistol, her vehicle and cell phone.
