Body found in Bloemfontein dam─── 15:27 Wed, 30 Oct 2024
Bloemspruit police are conducting an inquest after the body of a 42-year-old man was found floating in the dam near Meadows Road in Bloemfontein.
On Wednesday (30/10), at approximately 09:45, police received information about a Toyota Corolla that had been parked near the dam since Friday.
Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli stated that upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a blue Toyota Corolla, which had a Free State registration number plate, with its doors unlocked. They began searching for the occupants of the vehicle around the dam and soon discovered the body of a man in the water.
The victim was last seen driving the vehicle by his family on Friday.

The Bloemfontein diving unit was called to the scene to assist in the recovery and identification of the body.
