Bredasdorp - The body of a missing five-year-old girl was found in bushes in Bredasdorp on Monday afternoon, Western Cape police said.
"The death of a five-year-old girl is being investigated after her body was found this afternoon in a bushy area in Bredasdorp," said Lt-Col Andrè Traut.
The girl was reported missing on Sunday.
"Finer aspects of our investigation cannot be disclosed at this stage," Traut said.
Exactly two years ago, the case of Anene Booysen caught international media attention after she was raped and disembowelled in Bredasdorp.
She was found on February 2, 2013 on a construction site and died in hospital later that day.
