Gallants are currently on a four-match winless streak in the league, having secured just one point from those encounters. This poor run has piled the pressure on them to secure a victory, but they believe their opponents have more to lose in this clash.

Mhango, who was a fan favourite during his Bloemfontein Celtic days, told OFM Sport that the team is eagerly anticipating the big game.

“I think it’s a very important match for us, and for Orlando as well, because they are fighting for the league title while we are battling to avoid relegation,” said the Malawian international.

“It’s a huge game for us because we need the points more than they do, and I think it’s going to be an interesting contest.

“You can see from training that the guys are feeling positive. Everyone is ready, and everyone wants to be part of the squad, so we’re fully prepared for the match.”

Mhango added that while Gallants are under pressure, their opponents will be feeling it even more. At the same time, he believes pressure is essential in football.

“Every game comes with pressure. Without it, we can’t perform at our best. I think when there’s pressure, it actually motivates us to push harder,” he said.

“So, both teams are feeling it. But for them, they need to catch up with Sundowns, while we need to move away from the relegation zone. There will definitely be pressure on both sides.”
