Banyana Banyana have qualified for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
On Thursday night in Rabat, South Africa beat Algeria 1-0 thanks to a 14th-minute Jermaine Seoposenwe goal to advance to the semi-finals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations being played in Morocco.
The win ensured Banyana of qualification for next year’s event.
South Africa has gone through the tournament unbeaten, especially in a tough group that featured the likes of the Super Falcons of Nigeria and Botswana.
The other quarter-finals saw Nigeria beating Cameroon 1-0, Morocco edging Botswana 2-1, and Zambia having beaten Senegal in a penalty shootout after their tie ended 1-1.
South Africa will face Zambia at 19:00 on Monday night in the semi-finals while at 22:00 Morocco takes on the defending champions, Nigeria.
