In search of more game time former Orlando Pirates defender Patrick Phungwayo is searching for a new home and New Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael know just the place.
Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has confirmed he is looking to bring Patrick Phungwayo to the Bethlehem side following his release from Orlando Pirates.
The 29-year-old Phungwayo struggled to make regularly appearances in the Pirates starting line-up and his hunger for more game time has caught Eymael's eye.
The left-back is currently a free agent as his contract with the Buccaneers was mutually terminated after taking the field just 17 times last season for the Soweto based side.
Phungwayo joined the Buccaneers from Bidvest Wits as a promising player in 2012 but was never able to fulfill his potential but Stars would love to have an experienced player at left-back after losing Bokang Thlone to Bidvest Wits.
Ea Lla Koto are said to have their eye on other players as well but will have to act quickly as the PSL transfer window will close at midnight.
Eymael had a chat to OFM Sport on the latest developments at the Bethlehem-based side.
