“He is one of our quicker players and is good on his feet. For a young man who is stepping into the Test arena against the World Champions, you know he has a quiet confidence about him. Well, at least, that’s my perception.”

The Wallabies have made five changes to their starting XV for Saturday’s Rugby Championship Test against the Springboks in Perth.

Angus Bell returns from injury to start at loosehead prop in the crunch match, while Josh Nasser starts at home and Angus Blyth runs out at lock. In the backline, Nic White will start at scrumhalf and Marika Koroibete returns to the fray and he runs out on the left wing.

On the bench, The Queensland Reds flanker, Seru Uru, and the Waratahs outside back, Max Jorgensen, will be on debut for the Wallabies.

The coach, Joe Schmidt, said he is excited to see Jorgensen in action. “He has trained really well with us, Max has trained well which gives him confidence and gives the players around him confidence.

“He is one of our quicker players and is good on his feet. For a young man who is stepping into the Test arena against the World Champions, you know he has a quiet confidence about him. Well, at least, that’s my perception.

“I’ve had a couple of brief chats with him and I sense that he is ready to go.”
