“I’m sure it’s going to be tough. Max has been quick all weekend. I know we got him today, but he’s still second and he is going to be putting up a good fight, specially at his home race. I’m looking forward to it.”

Lando Norris of Mclaren is in pole position for Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort after clocking the fast time in qualifying The young British driver has the number one spot on the grid after clocking a time of 1:09.673.

He will share the front row of the grid with the reigning Formula 1 world champion, Max Verstappen, of Red Bull. Verstappen will be targeting his first win in five races, while he will also seek to retain his status of being the only current F1 driver to win at Zandvoort. Verstappen will aim to clinch a fourth win on the bounce in his home grand prix.

Norris' teammate, Oscar Piastri, will start the race in third and this in itself will put a lot of pressure on Verstappen. George Russell of Mercedes-Benz clocked the fourth fastest time in qualifying, while Verstappen's teammate, Sergio Perez, will start in fifth.

Putting up a good fight

“It is not easy but I felt comfortable out there, the car was feeling amazing. We have got some upgrades on the car for the first time in a while and everything is working very well, so a big thanks to the team too.
