Cases opened after alleged assault at Bfn school─── 07:50 Sun, 30 Sep 2018
Two separate cases of common assault have been opened between a learner and a teacher at Grey College in Bloemfontein.
Police spokesperson, Thabo Covane, told OFM News the teacher alleges that the learner misbehaved and insulted her in Sesotho. Covane explained that the teacher says she tried to stop the learner from taking clay out of the dustbin and that’s when the learner allegedly pushed her and made her lose her balance.
Meanwhile the learner and the parent arrived at the station to lay a complaint against the teacher. Covane says the learner alleges that the teacher became aggressive and strangled him against the wall.
Covane says the teacher was charged with common assault and will be appearing in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court soon.
