A fire which started at the main kitchen area of the National Hospital in Bloemfontein spread to other parts of the monumental hospital, but was soon contained by the EMS and Fire & Rescue teams.
The MEC for Health, Butana Komphela, has applauded the swift reaction by the acting CEO, Dr Mahmoud Malek.
