Double defending SA20 champions, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape, have suffered their third defeat of the series at the hands of the Pretoria Capitals at Centurion on Tuesday.

Capitals captain, Rilee Rossouw won the toss at Centurion and elected to bowl.  Sunrisers had a nightmare start when they slipped to 4/3 inside two overs.  David Bedingham (2), Zak Crawley (1) and Aidan Markram (0) all found themselves back in the pavilion by the third over.  At 50/6, it looked as if the Capitals had the game in the bag, but then Marco Jansen and Simon Harmer finally established a meaningful partnership. Jansen went on to score a half century (51) before being caught by Rossouw off the bowling of James Neesham.

The Sunrisers were eventually bowled out for just 113 - under-par for even a tricky Centurion pitch.

For their part, Capitals made a solid enough start as Will Jacks raced to 27 off 23 balls. However, his wicket - alongside those of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Kyle Verreynne and Rossouw - kept Sunrisers believing there was a chance when they were reduced to 61/4 in the ninth over.

An unbeaten 55-run partnership between Liam Livingstone (14 not out) and Marques Ackerman (39 not out) sealed the deal for the Capitals, with Ackerman's six off the last ball of the 16th over sealing the bonus point.

After three games, Pretoria Capitals are third on the log with seven points, while Sunrisers Eastern Cape are on the bottom with zero points.
