The Knights will face Western Province in Cape Town on Friday evening in their last round-robin match of the CSA T20 Challenge without the experienced and big-hitting Rilee Rossouw.

The Knights will look to bounce back from their six-wicket defeat to the Dolphins in Bloemfontein on Wednesday night. The defeat at the Mangaung Oval put a big dent in the team’s semi-final hopes but they still have an outside chance.

The Knights, as well as Province, are still in for a chance to reach the semi-finals, but it will require a win on Friday and a couple of favours in Saturday's games.

The Knights have been dealt a big blow as they will have to make do without the big-hitting Rossouw who did not travel with the team due to an Achilles injury.

The highly experienced left-handed back scored 66 runs in the Knights win against the Titans on Sunday, while on Wednesday he contributed with 20 runs which was the team’s second-highest in their six-wicket defeat to the Dolphins in Bloemfontein.

OFM Sport has confirmed that the 35-year-old Rossouw has an Achilles injury, however the extent is unknown at this stage.

The Knights do have the luxury of being able to call on the allrounder Dian Forrester and the batter/wicketkeeper Garnet Tarr, who are more than adept when wheeling the willow.

Seth Fledermaus has been added to the 13-man squad for the game. Play at Newlands is scheduled to get underway at 18:00 on Friday.

Knights squad – Aaron Phangiso (captain), Patrick Botha, Gihahn Cloete, Seth Flerdermaus, Dian Forrester, Sithembile Langa, Lesego Senokwane, Malusi Siboto, Jacques Snyman, Aubrey Swanepoel, Johan van Dyk, Tiaan van Vuuren
