The first week of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) T20 Challenge was concluded at the JB Marks Oval and both games were abandoned after persistent rain on Sunday afternoon.

The ITEC Knights and Warriors are two of the teams that have been affected by the inclement weather conditions as their encounter was abandoned earlier this week.

On Sunday, the Knights had just set the target of 159 runs for the Lions when rain came down during the interval and the two teams never made it out to the pitch for the Lion's innings.

Meanwhile, the Warriors and Western Province encounter was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to the heavy rain.

Though not much can be said yet about the semi-finals, all teams will have a lot to play for when the CSA T20 Challenge resumes on Tuesday.

After four matches, the Titans top the log as the only unbeaten team in the competition thus far. The Tshwane-men are on eighteen points, having won all their matches and securing two bonus point wins against the Dolphins and Lions.

The ITEC Knights come in second after three matches, with one bonus point win and two no-result matches.

The Rocks are third with eight points after winning two out of the three games they’ve played.

The Warriors follow with the same number of points as the Rocks, with one win and two no-result matches.

The Lions have won a single match, lost two, and a no-result match from Sunday afternoon takes them to number five on the standings.

The Dolphins and North West Dragons have both registered one win and two losses in three matches.

The Western Province Blitz have had a not-so-great start to the competition. The Blitz have not won a single game in four matches and are on two points after Sunday’s game was abandoned without a ball bowled against the Warriors.
