Snyman locked and loaded for new season─── MORGAN PIEK 08:01 Fri, 02 Sep 2022
The Proteas batter, Jacques Snyman, is back in the country after playing cricket in the UK during the off-season. Snyman had another outstanding season overseas and he looks forward to carrying that form over to the ITEC Knights.
The soon to be first-time dad like the rest of the team had a disappointing domestic season and they will have a mountain to climb in order to avoid relegation to Division 2.
Snyman told OFM Sport that he cannot wait to get stuck in again.
“I had a good season in the UK and it's always nice to be active for 12 months of the year.
“I'm back in the country now and I can't wait for the new season to start with the Knights.
“The last season was really disappointing for all of us. We all know what is expected from us in the new season.
“The boys have all been working really hard during the off-season and we are also all excited next week with a couple of games coming up against the Northern Cape Heat.
“So, ja we're looking forward to the new campaign.”
The Knights will face the Northern Cape Heat at the Diamond Oval next week in a series of warm-up games.
