Breaking News: Fuel tanker on fire in Bloemfontein – UPDATED─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 07:11 Tue, 23 May 2023

A fuel tanker is on fire on the N1 off ramp outside Bloemfontein.
Free State Emergency Services (EMS) spokesperson, Sipho Towa, could confirm to OFM News that the tanker is still on fire and services have responded.
He cannot however confirm if there have been any casualties, nor an estimation of how long it would take to extinguish the blaze.
The fuel tanker in question is burning on the South Lane of the N1, at the Raymond Mhlaba off-ramp.
The road is currently closed, and authorities are on scene. (UPDATED: At 08h00 both lanes were reopened for traffic.)
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and avoid the area.
