The protest over the R507 road project in Ottosdal, North West, is set to continue.
This is according to elected representatives of protesters, indicating that a meeting between them and Tswaing mayor Nora Mahlangu and local councillors did not take place as promised.
During a protest on Tuesday, mayor Mahlangu agreed that protesters may select representatives to pave a way forward.

Residents in the area are protesting over the project’s hiring process, citing that due diligence was not followed.
Residents informed protest leaders they will support the cause for a transparent process, and urged them to put fairness first.
North West Department of Public Works spokesperson, Matsube Mfoloe, meanwhile said the matter is between the contractor and the community, and as such the department is not in a position to comment.
