Four sworn in as new Free State Legislature members─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 05:53 Tue, 14 Mar 2023
Four members of the ANC in the Free State have been sworn in as Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs).
They are Moses Ketso Makume, Dibolelo Kathleen Mahlatsi, Nokwanje Selina Leeto, and Maqueen Joyce Letsoha-Mathae. The speaker of the legislature, Ntombizanele Sifuba, presided over the swearing-in ceremony on Monday 13 March 2023.
The legislature had four vacancies following the resignations of the former Free State premier, Sisi Ntombela, Jabulani Radebe, and Polediso Motsoeneng and the passing of Tate Makgoe, the Member of the Executive Committee (MEC) for Education.
OFM News reported earlier that changes are expected in the legislature, with members being sworn in and the cabinet being reshuffled.

An anonymous source has stated that changes are on the cards in the Free State government.
It is alleged that the Mangaung Metro Municipality will get a new mayor in the near future. It was confirmed to OFM News that the ANC's national executive committee has selected the Umkhonto weSizwe veteran, Gregory Nthatisi, to replace Mxolisi Siyonzana as mayor.
However, Siyonzana is yet to finalise the last stages of his resignation by also furnishing the speaker of the council, Stefanie Lockman-Naidoo, with the letter, which will then allow the council to elect Nthatisi as the new mayor of Mangaung.
