Road repair project leads to job creation in Free State town─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 12:05 Wed, 28 Dec 2022
A local entrepreneur, hailing from the streets of Botshabelo in the Free State, has taken it upon himself to repair potholes in his neighbourhood, creating more jobs for the youth.
The local entrepreneur is Maine Molibeli, who is the owner of Manchu Inn Cuisine.
He has recently used money from his own pocket for the project.
He says through this initiative he aims to improve the living conditions of the neighbourhood whilst also making sure that they provide a friendly atmosphere to his clients.
He could employ at least 25 young people by repairing the streets.
The service providers who spearheaded the projects of street paving, repairing potholes and manholes were Chief Tshipi Trading and Kgasiane Construction.
“Over the years we had enjoyed good working relations with the local community and this project is coming at an opportune time as the festive season is drawing closer to the end,” said Molibeli.
The two contractors in charge of the projects, Tshekelo Leboela and Molefi Lekitlane have commended Molibeli for entrusting local companies to deliver a great job.
The job done by Molibeli and his team was welcomed with warm hearts and comments on Facebook. Ladyl Lorshina commented, “Good job my brother, many more blessings”. While even those who do not reside in the area gave Molibeli a thumbs up for the job he has done. Deirdre Van Wyk is one of those who commended him for his job, commenting “well done”.
