Poacher arrested with endangered succulents in Northern Cape─── BAMBATHA GIKO 11:49 Fri, 09 Dec 2022
A male suspect was arrested on Thursday in Springbok on charges of dealing in endangered plants.
This comes after police received information about an alleged succulent poacher carrying Conophytums en route to Cape Town from Springbok. The Garies police intercepted the bus and found the man possessing succulents worth R1.6 million.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Springbok Magistrate's Court soon.
