Celtic supporters set to snub Macufe Cup─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:25 Fri, 23 Sep 2022
Bloemfontein Celtic supporters are on course to snub the much-anticipated Macufe Cup.
The friendly tournament makes its return after not taking place for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The return of the Macufe Cup has since raised eyebrows as it will now be held without the beloved Bloemfontein Celtic team, which sold its Premier Soccer League status to the Royal AM Club - owned by KwaZulu-Natal businesswoman, affectionately known as Mamkhize.
The Macufe Cup game will take place this coming Sunday 25 September 2022 at the Toyota Stadium, with the kick-off at 15:00.

He adds that on the day of the Macufe Cup, Bloemfontein Celtic supporters will be having their own event.

“The is no such thing as Siwelele going to the stadium of the Free State. We are not going to the [Toyota] stadium, we are going to the Masenkeng Stadium to have our own picnic there. Everyone [supporting] Siwelele is welcome to bring their cooler boxes. We don’t want to cause any chaos by going to the [Toyota] stadium, we don’t want to see ourselves getting arrested like the last time,” adds Mangweni.
