North West MEC commemorates fallen officers─── LUCKY NKUYANE 13:00 Sun, 11 Sep 2022
The MEC of Community Safety and Transport Management in the North West has joined the commemoration of police officers who have died during the 2021/22 financial year.
MEC Sello Lehari says the fallen police officers are heroes.
He says three of the officers died in the line of duty whilst four died on duty in separate incidents.
OFM News previously reported that four suspects were arrested in April 2022 in connection with the murder of two police officers in Mareetsane in July 2021.

The Provincial Commissioner, Sello Kwena, hosted the Annual Provincial Commemoration Service in Potchefstroom to honour and remember police officers and reservists who died in the line of, and on duty.
"The province will be commemorating the lives of seven members who include Sgt Molete of Mareetsane, Constable Ntsekeletsa of Mareetsane and R/Constable Njalinjali of Jouberton,” police spokesperson, Amanda Funani, said.
