Government turns to farmers for #R30 solution─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:10 Thu, 09 Jun 2022
Free State government is expected to partner with the farming community to find lasting solution on the notorious R30 road between Allanridge and Bothaville in the Free State.
This after Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela, together with MEC for Police, Roads and Transport, William Bulwane met with farmers from the Allanridge-area at Matjhabeng Municipality for a briefing session.
According to a statement, the two parties agreed to establish a task team that will exchange information and plan together, working with the farming community, engineers from the department and private engineers.
Bulwane said that they have to establish a quick, but long-term solution on the deadly R30 road. He said the department is also looking at possibilities of Public and private partnership.

Free State Executive Committee (EXCO), led by Premier Sisi Ntombela, visited the deadly R30 road last week as part of the infrastructure road show.

The R30 road has been in the spotlight after leaving many road users dead or injured due to reoccurring accidents that finally led to the closure of the road.
