The family of the late Tshepo Chabeli has expressed gratitude to the community, school and Free State Department of Education for showing support during this devastating time.
Ntshehiseng Chabeli, who is the mother of the deceased, tells OFM News that she was at work when the incident happened. She says she learned about it when Zama Public Primary School's Principal and fellow teachers picked her up from the farm where she works and disclosed the information to her.
The family further explains that they wish to meet with the suspect's family to discuss a way forward, as they have not met after the incident. They explained that they hope the situation will not cause conflict between the two families, as they have no background of events that transpired prior to the incident.
Furthermore, the family states that the Free State Department of Education and local officials have pledged to assist the family with the burial.
