More lives lost on notorious FS road─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 08:26 Mon, 28 Feb 2022
The death toll on the notorious R30 road between Allanridge and Bothaville in the Free State has risen with seven this weekend.
Police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng, says six people drowned Sunday night after the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and landed in water.
OFM News earlier reported the road claimed one life on Saturday evening and three other occupants sustained serious injuries. The accidents happened on the spot where the road has been reconstructed and where a bus full of passengers earlier this month got stuck while trying to cross.
