Policemen and women travelled from across the Free State to celebrate women becoming powerhouses in every facet.
The South African Police Service in the Free State honoured women for the role they play as protectors and leaders in the industry on Thursday evening in Bloemfontein, Free State. Among the speakers at the event was MEC for the Department of Police, Roads and Transport , William Bulwane, who saluted women for their invaluable contribution to servicing and protecting citizens. He said the place of a woman is everywhere and he encouraged them to be relentless in every walk of life.
Recognition was given to women in the workplace who have persevered through incalculable times while still prioritising the safety of those around them.
OFM News can report that a medal parade will take place on Friday to commemorate those deserving policemen and women in the Free State.
Futhermore, OFM News can report that the Free State stands among the top 3 of the provinces who have employed women in managerial positions. The Free State remains the province that recorded the highest employment rate of women in the service, says Bulwane.
"Women, you must never give up," said Bulwane.
