Dumping site will be removed: Dihlabeng mayor─── 11:52 Wed, 05 Jan 2022
Dihlabeng Local Municipality Mayor, Tseki Tseki, has spoken out against Morelig's dumping site - saying the site is out of control and harmful to the nearby residents.
He was visiting the site yesterday.
The mayor said that resident have a right to stay in a safe environment that does not pose a threat to their health.
Tseki decided it should be moved, for the health of residents. He added that a date for the move will be made public at a later stage, after finding an alternative.
Meanwhile, the executive mayor also went on to do inspections of the damaged roads in and around Bethlehem, in an effort to come up with measures to repair them.
