Suspects' arrests applauded after NW police murders─── 13:00 Thu, 29 Jul 2021

The North West Legislature's Community Safety Committee has applauded police after they acted swiftly to arrest suspects who allegedly murdered two police officers at Mareetsane.
The Provincial Legislature's portfolio committee on Public Works, Roads, Community Safety and Transport Management Chairperson, Onicca Medupe, said that the death of the two police officers is unfortunate, especially while they were serving communities.
"We are thankful and appreciate the tireless efforts by members of the community and law enforcers to capture perpetrators who committed this insidious act. This was not a one-man show but a community call heeded to bring unity and order in the Mareetsane community and other areas in the North West province," said Medupe.
OFM News previously reported the two bodies of police officers, the late Constable Simon Ngakaemang Ntsekeletsa and Sergeant Mojalefa Horatius Molete, were found burned in a state vehicle at the Logageng Village, almost 200km away from the Mareetsane Police Station where they worked. It's alleged that the two deceased were patrolling on Tuesday night when they came across a vehicle loaded with suspected stolen goats at around 9pm. They allegedly reported the incident telephonically to the station and never returned.
