Residents of Huhudi in the cash-strapped Vryburg's Naledi Local Municipality in the North West say the water shortages in the area are still of great concern to them.
One resident who spoke to OFM News on the basis of anonymity has detailed the resident’s everyday struggle with water issues in that area.
She says for the past three weeks, residents in their area did not have water whilst in other areas, it’s been for months. She says the water only came back on Wednesday and the municipality only informed them that the water shortages were as a result of burst pipes. The municipality is yet to comment on OFM News’ inquiry.
She says this is a constant occurrence and at some point, residents are forced to walk for longer to fetch water from different areas.
