FS welcomes new Provincial Commissioner─── 10:43 Sat, 04 Jan 2020
Police in the Free State has officially welcomed the newly appointed Provincial Commissioner, Baile Motswenyane.
Motswenyane commenced her duties on Thursday, 02 January, and will be based at the Metropolitan Building in Bloemfontein. She makes a comeback to the province following her promotion to the provincial commissioner of the North West in 2016. This follows the changes and appointments of Divisional and Provincial Commissioners by the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele and the National Commissioner, Khehla Sitole on 12 December 2019.
During her inauguration, she extended gratitude to officials who sacrificed quality time with their family and friends to provide safety and security during the festive season. She is filling the shoes of the former provincial commissioner, Moeketsi Sempe, who was promoted to the National Divisional Commissioner.
She will be expected to crisscross the width and breadth of the Free State, sharing her vision and sourcing views from stakeholders and the community.
